Starfall

Abandoned soul, down on my knees
whispering prayers,
the past resurrected,
forever left wanting the memory of You

Perpetual twilight, starfall rising
stringing pearls across the velvet night
fleeting shadows drenched in ink
write the unspoken

(Do You feel my words?)

Your fingertips brushed against mine,
my gaze cannot be ripped away
from Your mystic eyes, breathlessly
suspended between heartbeats

Unnamed emotions coursing through
my veins spilling into Your soul,
the virtue of audacity as You understand
my unspoken

Salvation

I Warned You

I warned You,

for me You were something precious,

something holy.

I warned You,

pick the fragments of my heart

out of the wasteland,

singe your fingers in the pieces

scattered among smoldering embers

and I would worship You.

I warned You, somewhere

between the sacred and profane

I would steal Your heart

in prayerful salvation.

I warned You

one touch,

one kiss, and

You would become my religion.

I warned You.

Winter Blossoms

Frigid air pours through the window
freezing the melodious notes that
hang like crystals into shimmering silence.
Prayerful roses slowly submit
to the hoarfrost and turn to ice.
The bare branches dance in the wind
as the world sleeps beneath it’s
swaying shadows.
Winter settles.
And yet, I don’t feel the chill
in the air as Your hand slips into mine.
The velvet calm purring against
my heart as we fall into step together.
Wandering across the sleeping landscape
as the trees waltz over our heads.
Winter blossoms.

Clockwork Girl

Clockwork Girl – Head in the clouds
Slowly painted hands moving over the gilded persuasion of gears
Tomorrow’s promise locked in the past
My only future – Bare emotions dipped in luminescence
Bearing palpable heartbeats through the intense fluttering of moths
Sheltered from the storm as raindrops shatter like glass around me
Fragile exquisite crystal tears from stars falling from my eyes.
Stepping over broken shards – Reaching for You
Hunger for more – Love strengthening never waning
Longing to take care of You, shelter You, Worship You
Seeking redemption humming Hymns of Adoration to You
Chimes – Laced across destiny before their rapturous benediction
As I lay my heart to rest in the Holy sin of Your hands
Yours. Yours. Yours.
