I Warned You

I warned You,

for me You were something precious,

something holy.

I warned You,

pick the fragments of my heart

out of the wasteland,

singe your fingers in the pieces

scattered among smoldering embers

and I would worship You.

I warned You, somewhere

between the sacred and profane

I would steal Your heart

in prayerful salvation.

I warned You

one touch,

one kiss, and

You would become my religion.

I warned You.

Once Mine

Once Mine

Someday folded into love letters You once wrote me,
Your fingertips brushing against arcane words scribed against the chambers of my heart, Your silent kiss uncovering the tomes of desire eternity left carved in stardust. Passion rolls like waves through my mind, I forever Your Electra, the desire You reached for across the Heavens, across the darkness,
across the sea of time.
Reach for me again, pull me into your light.

Covet the unspoken secrets shared…

Return to me, reflect on those

Precious moments…

Once Ours,

Once Yours,

Once…

…Mine.

Torn Heart’s Desire

Green grass touching sand
clouds pouring towards the shoreline;
the abstract way seagulls
hang against the waves
and compliment the sun.
Hair spilling down her bare back
as she watches the frame
photograph it’s colours
into a monochrome memory
of days fragranced with lilac
in Eliot’s cruelest month.
Her heart torn and hanging
while the waves crash
and the seabirds sing
the intrinsic harmony

of a healing heart.

Carved Reminders

Trails of moonlight scatter across
Frosted night sky
The path of descending blossoms
As buds breathe into leaves
The trees coming to life
In anticipation of Summer days
Names carved into bark
Safely ensconced in a heart
A reminder of when love grew
Unhindered by time
Under a sea of expectant stars

Spring Resurrection

Softly shifting skies,
clouds masking the solitude
of the setting sun
flowing effortlessly in a pastel dream.
Shadows of leaves drifting
slowly down the lane,
weary trees brushing the cobblestones
with darkened light.
Night falls slowly.
Creatures of the night
beginning to stir, the dusk, their dawn
as the awakening stars whisper softly
to them the moon rising gracefully.
The sound of an owl cracks
through the cool air,
twigs rustle on the ground as
hedgehogs forage the dark emerald grass.

Our darkness, their light.

Frames of Moonlight

Grazed by shadowed frames of moonlight
the errant tide pouring over my skin
as salt-water waves lap the shore
slipping their pull across my mind
in the contented afterglow of evening,
I pause in quiet reflection
inwardly gazing at the perfect solitude
of absolute adoration —
and I wonder if this arcane feeling
pouring from my bones and coursing
through my veins is only mingled stardust
reflecting on its perfect sacrifice,
a star gave its life
so that we could feel

the tangled shades of divine love.

This Is The After Of Our Before

Soft kisses drawn across still quaking
flesh, heartbeats tangled in the subsiding
pulse of passion.
(closer)
This is the after of our before.

Hands slipping together, fingertips mingling like
salt water and the shore as the slowing waves
bring murmured declarations of love.
(inhale)
This is the after of our before.

Legs slowly moving, hips merged rising
and falling in the quivering dance as the
thrum of the storm turns to peaceful calm.
(exhale)
This is the after of our before.

Breathing deeply in the contentment
of satiated desire, your name purrs
off of my lips as I feel your smile.
(elysium)
This is the after of our before.
