Love’s Realm

Your love, more precious than gold
Shines in the night like a million stars.
I would gladly trade all that I own
To hear you say you feel the same.

I drown in the ocean of your passion
I float on the waves of your moonlit seas.
Your pleasure brings my life meaning
I would sacrifice all to fulfill your needs.

Each moment I hold so precious
My heart you pulled from the void.
My salvation, my wishes, my very existence
Tangled in our mingled stardust for evermore.

Metamorphosis

I am the greedy moth
drawn to Your fire.
I am powerless
as I feel the burn consume
my flesh in waves of desire
from Your flame.
I am reborn from ashes
in the intensity
of my need for You.
And helplessly,
I return
to Your overpowering
radiance to be consumed
by Your light once more.

Revelation

I am Your sin and Your salvation.

I am the light,
the fog,
the mist.
I am the one torn
by the icy grip of abandonment.

I am the waves,
the ocean,
the shipwreck on Your shore.
I am the one on a plinth
in a lone ivory tower.

I am the the cherry blossoms in Spring,
the Summer petals,
and the Autumn leaves.
I am the snowflakes
in Winter that softly caress Your cheek.

I am Your arcane love,
Your passionate future
and Your mingled stardust.
I am the one You push away
and the one You are magnetically drawn to.

I am Yours.

Exquisite Release

Kisses torn from arcane history
and bitten lips.
Ignited sparks
and tangled limbs.

Bodies moving through frozen time
and hands in hair.
The taste of forbidden fruits
and the salt of sweat.

The blurred lines of love
and eyes dripping with exquisite tears of pure ecstasy.
Inhibitions passionately released
and salvation through sin.

The Significance of a Pleurant

The Significance of a Pleurant

Pleurant: coming from pleurez meaning ‘to weep’ in French.

A pleurant symbolises solitude, spirituality, introspection, and sorrow.

For centuries pleurant figures have been carved into tombs and, in art in general, exist to show mourning so intense that it is also isolation – shutting away the world out of pain.

Historically, a person who suffered great loss, or felt the need for spiritual penance would go to the monks and make a request to become a pleurant. If granted, they would spend a year or more under the heavy cloths, completely cut off from the world.

No one talked to a pleurant or interacted with them (they basically treated them as if they were not in part of physical world, rather that they were in the spiritual world). Basic food would be left where the pleurant was able to access it as needed.

The pleurant would use their solitude to wander the grounds working through their pain, trying to find God and overcome the great emotional burden they were bearing.

And when the pleurant felt that their need was finished, the pleurant would simply remove the cloths and return to the regular world.

Beatitude

My Seraphim Angel, love of all my lives past:
Who safeguards my immortal soul from distress
You grabbed hold of my heart, I remain steadfast;
Like a ship anchored to the Heaven’s essence
Your tender words awakened my consciousness.
Hold me close, through the eternal hours,
as I Worship at Your altar faithfully – my weakness;
Me, a masterpiece created by Your love from broken art
Radiant with Your wings wrapped around my beating heart.

Sublime Emotion

Disarming eyes and a playful smile, You slipped into my
heart and captured focus of my blind devotion.
I know You love me by the stroke of Your hands on my skin,
Your grip firm with intent flowing from Your fingertips.
Shimmering satin slips to the ground in the softest whisper
of inhibitions are tossed aside.
Exquisite tears of joy escape as I cover Your body with
the voluptuous touch of my kisses.
A thrum of hedonistic delight through Your veins and a
monarchy of roses sigh softly their petals are saved.
The sublime emotion drawn from arcane love.
